Hey gang! I’m Wendy and as you can probably tell, my two favorite activities are baking and fitness. What a combination right? I’m proof that you can have your cake and eat it too.
I grew up in Northeast Philadelphia (George Washington High graduate) but now call Lower Makefield, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, my home. Most of my content is baking related, but I put a healthier spin on baking by using whole food, non-processed, clean eating ingredients. Desserts can be guiltlessly enjoyed as long as they are consumed in moderation. This is in addition to eating a healthy and well-balanced diet and by keeping an active lifestyle. Which is what I do.
While many of my recipes are clean eating, some (my older blog posts) are not. I’m not here to lecture you on what you should and shouldn’t eat and in most of my clean eating recipes I also include the non-clean eating counterpart. You’ll also find vegan recipes and/or vegan options in some recipes for my vegan friends and followers.
With all of my baking you’re probably wondering how I keep my shape. I’m an NPTI certified Personal Trainer and ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor. In addition, I also enjoy weight lifting, running with my kangoo jumps, meditation, traveling, and crafting. With more than a decade training in martial arts, I earned my 2nd degree black belt in MMA and an orange belt in Krav Maga.
