Homemade Organic Confectioner’s Sugar (Clean Eating Version)

I’m quickly writing up this post so it will be brief.   This weekend I’m going to be making some very, very, very good videos using confectioner’s sugar, also known as powdered sugar and icing sugar.  Did I mention these recipes are very good?  It can be difficult to find and expensive to buy organic confectioner’s sugar and very easy to make it yourself.  Also, if you’re in a pinch and can’t run out to the store to buy it, you can make it yourself.  If you’re not keeping a clean eating diet but would still like to make this, just use granulated sugar in place of organic.

All you need is:

1 cup organic sugar (I have not tried this with coconut palm sugar yet,  but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work as long as you don’t mind it brown in color)
1 tablespoon cornstarch

Blend this in a food processor or high powered blender such as a Vitamix until powdered.

NOTE: Because organic sugar has a light brown color, you’re confectioner’s sugar will be off-white.

Don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube Channel at www.youtube.com/cinnamonsweetshoppe to find recipes where I use this.  I’m also going to be doing a Baker’s Tip video eventually discussing the different kinds of sugar (pros and cons)
