Patriotic Peace Cookies

July 4th Cookies
I wanted to make some patriotic cookies for July 4th, Independence Day.  With my new job this year, time was short but I managed to quickly get them done

I used this picture to make a template

Check out my Birdhouse Cookies to learn how I make them.

The Partridge Family Decorated Cookies

Hello World there’s a song that were singing, c’mon get happy.

Recognize the above line?  If not then you probably haven’t been watching The Partridge family on Antenna TV.  These cookies are part of my Classic TV Cookie collection which includes I Love Lucy cookiesI Dream of Jeannie Cookies, and my Bewitched Cookies.

I use a scribe to even out the wet icing and to do the wet-on-wet technique.  If you don’t have one you can use a toothpick or a clean straight pin.

Decorated Cookies For Shark Week.

The past few years I’ve been wanting to do something for Shark Week but always came late to the game.  Not this year.  Today is the beginning of Shark week on the Discovery Channel.  This is the picture I used to make a template.

As I always point out in all of my cookie decorating videos, to learn how to make cookie templates go to my Birdhouse Cookie Post.  I used my Best Gingerbread Recipe for these cookies.

DOOM Cookies

I don’t consider myself a gamer.  I don’t own an Xbox. I don’t own a Playstation. I don’t buy games for my PC.  There is one exception.  The game called DOOM. I grew up playing this game and while I haven’t played it in a while, it’s still a favorite of mine.

To make these cookies, I made a template out of plastic.  See my Birdhouse Cookies post to learn how I make them.  And I used the Best Gingerbread Cookie recipe

Cookie Decorating Tip: How to Transfer Details to Dark Colored Cookies. Krav Maga Belt Testing Cookies

Edible markers are excellent tools for tracing and drawing details on top of royal icing.  But they don’t show up on dark colors such as these black Krav Maga Yellow Belt cookies.  If I had a Kopykake projector, it would make things easier but I don’t have $300 to buy one. So I had to get creative and this is my way of transferring details onto these cookies.

For those of you who follow me on Facebook, you probably heard that I’m getting my yellow belt in Krav Maga at the end of June.  It’s only 6 of us testing and I thought I would celebrate the occasion by making these cookies.

To make these cookies I used a onesie cookie cutter and cut off the bottom.  The gingerbread cookies were made using my Best Gingerbread Cookie Recipe

Check out my Birdhouse Cookie post for info about icing consistency and how to make a template

Finding Dory Gingerbread Cookies

Remind me again how long did we have to wait for a Finding Nemo sequel?  Too long.  To make these cookies I made a template and traced in the details with an edible marker. I also used my Best Gingerbread Cookie recipe found here
